Bold Caribbean Taíno Spice!

Go bold or go home! This is my new favorite all-purpose seasoning, from Suzanne Delica and Jelece Morris of BoCa Flavor. It is SO versatile, sweet-spicy, and original. I put it in everything from chili to soups to vegetables, eggs, sauces, and fish. It will rock your seasoning world!

The bold first ingredient, raw cane sugar, gives life to all that follow. It's an ingenious marriage of sweet, salt and heat, featuring herbs, spices, fruits, and a perfectly piquant touch of vinegar. It just lights up your dishes (and your mouth) and I can't get enough of it. Congratulations Suzanne and Jelece, you've got a big hit on your hands!

Suzanne and Jelece share the origins of their wonderful recipe: "Our vision for a flagship product is rooted in paying respects to our ancestors who paved the way for us. The Taíno were the indigenous people of the Caribbean, inhabiting Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, and the northern Lesser Antilles dating as far back as AD 1200. Through Taíno Spice, we celebrate the rich history, diversity, and melting pot of flavors that make up the Caribbean. In particular, three of the native ingredients we use, allspice, scotch bonnet pepper, and sweet Spanish paprika, embody the characteristic flavor and aroma of our culinary heritage."

Now, as Jelece and Suzanne might say: "Let's get cooking!"
