Burgers, chicken tenders, fried fish, fried pickles, french fries, raw vegetables, you NAME it – everything’s better with my Boomerang Comeback Sauce!
Invented in Jackson, Mississippi, comeback dipping sauce is a bionic Thousand Island-type dressing on steroids and is terrific for pretty much anything that needs dipping. MY new recipe is especially tart and tangy and realllly super satisfying. You’ll boomerang right back for more!
Brian's Boomerang Comeback Sauce
Makes 1 pint (2 cups)
My take on the all-purpose dipping sauce originating in Jackson, Mississippi. I give it even more of a Thousand Island spin with the dill pickle relish. Y'all come back now, ya hear?!
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup dill pickle relish (not sweet pickle relish)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 heaping tablespoon dehydrated minced onion
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspooon garlic powder
Couple dashes hot sauce—I like Crystal or Texas Pete
In a medium bowl, whisk all ingredients together thoroughly. Cover tightly and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight.
