Everyday Meat Loaf
🥩 🍞 🥩 🍞 🥩 🍞
⅔ cup dry bread crumbs
1 cup milk
1½ pounds ground beef
2 beaten eggs
¼ cup grated onion
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sage
Dash pepper
OVEN 350°
Soak bread crumbs in milk; add meat, eggs, onion, and seasonings; mix well.
Form in individual loaves; place in greased muffin pans.
Cover with Piquant Sauce (page 348).
Bake in moderate oven (350°) 45 minutes.
Makes 8 servings. Or form one loaf in 8½ x 4½ x 2½-inch pan.
Spread with sauce; bake 1 hour.

Piquant Sauce!
Combine 3 tablespoons brown sugar,
¼ cup catsup,
¼ teaspoon nutmeg, and
1 teaspoon dry mustard.
