We've all been there. Time to whip up a last-minute recipe and you're just not sure if that old box of baking soda can still cut the mustard. Well guess what? It's easy to figure out in a jiffy!

Grab an acid like lemon juice or vinegar. Just add a bit of baking soda to a small bowl, give it a splash of your acid of choice, and if it fizzes and foams, your soda's A-OK !!!
